Tennessee Triathlon 2013, YMCA Bloomington 5K Racewalk 2015, Senior Olympics Bloomington 2018, 2019
August 5, 2013 at 9:53 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentI won medals in Bowling in the Senior Olympics (at ages 73 & 74- 2018 & 2019). I won my age category for 5K Racewalk April 18, 2015, in 42 minutes 13 seconds! This was my 4th 5K in 5 years. I was second place in my Spring 2016 5K Racewalk. Being 70 back then slowed me down— but just a bit!!!
In Tennessee 2013, I won one of the prizes in the triathlon for swimming! Required 3.8 miles – TK almost 9 miles!
Success can be attained
August 21, 2012 at 7:59 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentA few success ideas from THE 100 SIMPLE SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE by David Niven
Feelings of competence start with the feelings and THEN produce the competence.– Improve how you feel about yourself and other improvements in your life will come.
The purposes of what you do is to make progress, NOT just to expend yourself.– Some people couldn’t possibly have worked any harder, BUT they COULD have worked smarter!
Take joy from the process of trying to make progress. Life satisfaction is more likely for those who experience a “steady stream” of minor accomplishments.
There are NO age restrictions on success. It takes as long as it takes.
Positive change in your life will not be finished today, but it can START today.
